Planning a safe golfing holiday
After months of patiently waiting, golfers are finally allowed to get back on the course. The Knightsbrook Hotel is serious about keeping guests healthy, and we’ve rounded up the top tips for staying safe whilst enjoying our magnificent 18-hole golf course.
While experts are generally in agreement that being outdoors is safer than in a crowded indoor area, that doesn’t mean there’s no risk of being infected outside. It’s advisable to stay a minimum of 2 meters from other guests you're not traveling with, at all times.
This is especially relevant prior to and after you finish your round, as large groups in indoor settings pose a larger risk of infection. We have dedicated sanitising stations set up around the hotel and grounds, and our staff is always happy to assist if you require any additional help. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any concerns or questions.
Our extensively stocked golf shop is open and ready to welcome you in a safe manner, with plexiglass installed at all payment points. We ask that you abide by any additional guidelines as set out by our staff, ensuring the safety of all guests and staff members.
Whilst on the course, we strongly advise against sharing any equipment, and, where possible, not touching stray balls or the flagstick. It’s also important to keep a safe distance from any other groups of players, and avoid touching any high traffic areas.
Thanks to our expansive grounds, it’s not difficult to get away from the crowds. Our 18-hole award-winning course features stunning scenery and unparalleled quality and facilities. We have also recently enhanced our 200-year-old weir, situated on the Knightsbrook River. Here, guests can take a moment to appreciate the setting and enjoy the sights, sounds, and scenes of our beautiful location.
As always, we are committed to providing you with the best possible experience, and this of course extends to your actual round of golf. We are continually upgrading and maintaining our bunkers with Capillary Concrete, allowing you to enjoy the course no matter the weather. After your game, why not pop into our health club and relax in our safely maintained swimming pool or jacuzzi? Our team is working hard to keep these areas exceptionally clean and are taking extra precautions to keep high-traffic areas properly sanitised. In the interest of guest safety, our sauna remains closed for the time being.
